| thread detail: spine. This piece is a stretch of raw canvas reaching about 3' in length and about a 1' 5" in width. Interested in keeping raw materials preserved, I used sharpie to begin the base drawing and used a stain-painting method to fill the necessary spaces. To finish, I used thread to highlight areas of interest to control the focal points with subtle delineation. |
